Goulburn Steel Fly Tying Hooks was been born our of a desire to offer Australian fly fishers a quality fly tying hook range that is available in our own backyard.
It’s our goal to offer Australian fly tyers, fly fisherwomen, and fishermen alike a quality hook, at a fair price, with continual supply, so you can get them when you want them! But that, however, is not just yet!
We’re working tirelessly behind the scenes to get this venture off the ground. We’ve spent the best part of this year engaging with countless manufacturers to finally partner up with the right production factory for our needs. Samples have been approved and as of writing this post, our first production run is nearing completion. With that, we hope to have several hundred thousand hooks in house within the fortnight… But that’s just the start.
From there, the quality control process begins and then packaging. We have teamed up with the Goulburn Valley’s best print team at Printworks in Shepparton who have completed out first run of packaging and are in the works for additional designs.
What all this means is that WE KNOW you want quality hooks. WE KNOW you want 36 hooks per pack. WE KNOW you want them all yesterday. However, WE KNOW this is going to take a little time, so bare with us. The hope is to launch on October 1st (we may have to come back and edit this post if the schedule gets blown out) but the hope is to make that happen.
Our hooks will not be sold direct from this website, they will only be available through fly shops in Australian and New Zealand. We are accepting applications from stores who would like to stock this Australian owned fly ting hook brand after the launch.
